White wine made from the alvarinho grape produced exclusivy in Monção and Melgaço. This wines expresses the potential of this sub-region and the beauty of the region’s queen grape. Anselmo Mendes has dedicated his life’s work in studying this varietal and the different expressions it receives with barrel and lee aging.

Tasting Notes Very fine aromas in which the high quality of the wood is noted. Elegant and extremely mineral driven with spicy nuances. Excellent structure and acidity. Long, very elegant finish that highlights the delicacy of the Alvarinho variety.

Vinification/Maturation "Very soft pressing of the whole destemmed grape. Cold clarification for a long time. Fermentation in used, 400 litre French oak barrels. Ageing in these barrels for 9 months with batonnage on the whole lees."
