Castelo Rodrigo Red 2015

For taking opposing sides in the dynastic crisis between 1383-1385, King João I, punished the village of Castelo Rodrigo by ordering it’s coat of arms to place its weapons upside down, you can find this order still adhered to on the label of Castelo Rodrigo wine.

Tasting Notes Round and bright red berry aromas with touches of black pepper and earth that translate onto the mouth with soft fruit.
Vinification/Maturation Temperature controled fermentation with maceration. Six months in french oak before bottling.
