Castelo Rodrigo Touriga Nacional 2012

For taking opposing sides in the dynastic crisis between 1383-1385, King João I, punished the village of Castelo Rodrigo by ordering it’s coat of arms to place its weapons upside down, you can find this order still adhered to on the label of Castelo Rodrigo wine.

Tasting Notes Intense and somewhat rustic with dark notes of earth and violet on the aroma, yet in the mouth is ripe with juicy raspberry. Perfectly balanced with a lovely finish.
Vinification/Maturation Temperature controled fermentation with prolonged maceration.
