Adega Mãe Pinot Noir 2014

AdegaMãe sits on the western strip of the territory and everything about it ties back to the defining conditions of the region. The nearness of the Atlantic Ocean and the nature of the soil itself allow for the creation of decidedly original wines, showing a refreshing natural acidity and a mineral character. The Mono-Castas (one-grape) wines are created to showcase the atlantic terroir through the varieta’ls unique expression.

Tasting Notes Aromas showing notes of soft fruit such as cherries and cassis. Extremely intense and fresh. Remarkably smooth on the palate, it features sweet tannins and delivers an elegant finish.
Vinification/Maturation Manual harvest into small boxes to prevent crushing. Completely destemmed. Prefermentation maceration for 2 days. Fermentation under controlled temperature for 15 days. Post-fermentation maceration period of 10 days. 10 months ageing in new French oak barrels.
