Santa Alba Grand Reserve Carménère/ Cabernet Sauvignon

The Grand Reserve line of Santa Alba is all single-vineyard fruit with limited production, made with grapes that truly reflect the terroir they come from.

Tasting Notes Intense red color with violet highlights. Notes of blackberry, baking spices, freshly cut wood and cherry liquor. A full mouth feel with well structured tannins and a long finish of toast and liquor.
Vinification/Maturation 20-25 days with cold pre-fermentative maceration for four days, at temperatures below 10°C (50 Fahrenheit). Extraction: Traditional pumping-over. Fermentation: Starts with active dry yeast (Bayanus); temperatures between 25°C and 28°C (77°-82° Fahrenheit). Aging: 12 months in French and American oak barrels
